Yoshiharu Kakinuma is the executive chef in charge of Sushi Raijin in Winter Park, Florida. Kakinuma comes from a family of sushi chefs, which include his father and grandfather. However, his father encouraged him to be independent and learn how to make sushi from someone else. So he served as an apprentice under Mr. Yoshitake, a sushi master chef. Yoshitake took a special interest in him and offered to train him personally.
